Seriously.
Take a week off of classes, throw in a friend coming down to visit, and hell, those three exam next week just don't seem to matter!
It is ridiculously difficult to get motivated again, especially after a huge dump of snow. It was 10 degrees one weekend, super sunny, and the next... snow. Tons of it, not to mention freezing temperatures. This has decreased my desire to get groceries from 0 to -2. Not having groceries tends to make it difficult to do any baking.
Which is difficult when craving chocolate chip cookies, and yet being out of flour and milk.
I had a dilemma, and so I searched, and happened upon something wonderful!
Chocolate chip meringue cookies. Oh yes. They are indeed in the oven as we speak.
Well...as I type, but you get the idea.

Only difficult part of making these, was the fact I lack an electric mixer. Yeah, not even one of those hand held suckers. Gotta love living on a student budget!
I don't think my arms have seen that much of a work out since I made buttercream frosting without a mixer. My arm literally cramped up!
Gotta say I felt a feeling of accomplishment when my egg whites reached stiff peaks.
I'm just hoping these turn out to be kick ass. If I had a camera I'd post pictures, but sadly, I do not. Ah well, one day.
Crocheting has been on the back burner pretty much since the end of Christmas Break, but I have a feeling I'm going to have to get on that again. I made promises to make things for so many people as Christmas presents, and ended up only managing to get one project done. Yes, I am one of those people. Who take on too much, and don't realize too late that they are in waaaay over their head. I think I get it from my Mom.
My excuse however, was being violently ill over Christmas Break. Oh yes, there is nothing like wasting one of the two weeks off you have, laying on a couch feeling absolutely disgusting. I was just overjoyed to have the stomach flu.
Anyway, skipping back to the present, I'm already at "Spring" Break now. Doesn't seem to Spring-y to me. Hard to believe though, as of April 1st I will be done all my classes for this semester. It's suddenly like BAM, Second Year is over. On to the next.
Which means I need to complete my Child and Youth Care application. Don't you just love when an application for a new faculty just throws in a three page essay, that you KNOW they're not going to read, and is just used to weed out the people that aren't motivated enough? I know I do.
Still, not much of an update, I know. I wish I had some wonderfully fascinating personal anecdote to share, but sadly I do not possess such a story. I promise I'll try to do something interesting.
Ciao!~
